Hello Friends!

As is obvious, I haven’t blogged much this summer and fall.  Things have been very busy with many ups and downs.  For much of the summer I was on personal sabbatical after a very busy season of ministry.  In July our family was on mission to England with long-time missionary friends, Eric & Lisa Simpson. And while in England Pam’s mom, Marilyn Shisler passed away after a brief hospitalization and some unexpected complications. Our whole family grew closer through this season of trial and mom’s memorial service was a time of centering on mom’s hope in the resurrection because Jesus has conquered the grave. In August, I had an amazing opportunity to guest preach twice at a wonderful church in Pennsylvania where Pam and I met and made some great new friends.  I was also was gifted a trip to Seattle to participate in the “story workshop at the Allender Center. At the end of August, I took a transitional job working for Amazon Logistics out of Sterling, VA.  And now we are embarking on a new adventure as we will be candidating at a church, with visits scheduled in September and October.
