Snow
“God’s voice thunders in marvelous ways; he does great things beyond our understanding. He says to the snow,‘Fall on the earth,’ and to the rain shower, ‘Be a mighty downpour.’ So that everyone he has made may know his work, he stops all people from their labor.” Job 37:5-7

Here at the church, we follow Prince William County Government, so I was quite excited when I saw at www.pwcgov.org the glorious words…

YAY, A SNOW DAY!
But WHY does God throw an occasional snow day our way to interrupt our busy NOVA lives? Job 37 says he does it “so that everyone he has made may know his work, he stops all people from their labor.”
So, if you have the day off, reflect on the marvelous faithfulness of God to you, your family, our church, and nation. And, if you are an essential government worker, first responder, or medical personnel, thank you for your service to our community and nation. Please be safe as you travel.
Now here’s a thought from the Benedict kids on this snowy day:

I’m glad school was canceled, and I hope it’s canceled tomorrow. I can’t wait to go sledding and beat my family at a game of Risk. ~ Justin Benedict
The snow looks very beautiful, and I will enjoy the winter wonderland! ~ Katelyn Benedict
nIt’s fun to wake up to, it’s fun to look at, it’s fun to drive in. ~ Josh Benedict (Who is headed back to Lynchburg in about an hour!)

I can’t wait to see some of the pictures my friends post on social media. Have a GREAT day!
